Description: The Institute of Baltic Studies offers an interdisciplinary program
which acquaints international students with the distinctive features
of Estonian history, culture and society, while illuminating and
strengthening the participants' comprehension of the processes of
change taking place in the Baltic region and Eastern Europe. \par
The School offers courses in the Estonian culture, society, legal
system, history and ecology; Estonian and Russian languages and Baltic
area studies. The Program is primarily intended for students majoring
in the humanities or social sciences, but is open to students from all
fields. Courses are taught at the undergraduate level but are also
suitable for graduate students whose field of study concerns small
nations and cultures, the Baltics or Eastern Europe.
