Description: Jeffco Online offers online courses for students, parents and educators
in the k12 community. We are building an online curriculum that will
meet the needs of learners from all student populations around the
country, and beyond. The online courses we currently offer are
Web-based, and utilize asynchronous communication (email), Web-based
asynchronous forums, and real-time online communications (study groups;
discussions; consultations; conferencing). We bring together students
from all parts of the country to learn together in diverse groups that
transcend traditional restrictions, i.e., age, socioeconomic level,
geographical location, cultural background, etc. In this way,
traditional labels are challenged, and the paradigms we operate from to
teach and learn expand.
