Description: The Maryland Institute is a universe in which the artists are the rule not the exception. It is a world of artists, designers and poets, writers, and scholars who celebrate the creative process, the majesty of the artsk and the mind-expanding experience of the pursuit of knowledge. Our instructors are a vibrant group of award-winning, nationally recognized artists and designers, our faculty are represented in more than 250 public and private collections, includint the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Hirshhorn Museum, the Walker Art Center, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Among our ranks are Fulbright Scholars, and recipients of the Prix de Rome and the Louis Comfort Tiffany Award.
