Description: Our approach to learning stresses outcomes rather than process. Credit
is available for prior learning on or off the job. Emphasis is placed
on what you know and what you are willing to learn, rather than what
you have done in the past. To this end a variety of learning modes
designed to facilitate your learning requirements are offered.
Programming at Royal Roads addresses key societal issues. Three primary
curricular themes: sustainable development, the entrepreneur, and
empowering leadership are the core elements of our programs. Our
Environmental Sciences program is designed to equip you with the
knowledge to problem solve and give leadership to pressing issues of
the environment. Royal Roads also recognizes that the health of our
economy is largely dependent upon the initiative, creativity, business
skills and community consciousness of the entrepreneur. Our Bachelor of
Commerce offerings focus on the cultivation of these entrepreneurial
management skills. The 21st century calls for leaders who develop the
vision and skills to create organizations in which people can empower
themselves. In healthy and productive work environments, people can
influence their work, grow personally, take responsibility and
individually or collectively become leaders themselves.The skills
required of the modern leader can be learned in our Master's Program in
Leadership and Training at Royal Roads.
