which gives the OLI full and equal status among degree-awarding
institutions in Hong Kong is the quality of the courses and programmes

are therefore recognised both in Hong Kong and overseas for the

located in Claremore, OK. RSC has been increasingly offering distance
learning opportunities over the last 10 years, initially through TV,
and most recently based on interactive TV and wide-area computer
services support. The typical distance learning paradigm used at RSC
includes presentations on broadcast, cable, or video tape, specially
selected texts, detailed study guides, course computer software in the
hands of students, and student-instructor interaction through wide-area
computer services. RSC currently has four degree programs which can be
completely accomplished using this paradigm: business, computer
science, humanities, and liberal arts. Course delivery will soon be
offered using CD-ROM and the Internet World-Wide-Web. The initial
scope of RSC distance learning was local to N.E. Oklahoma, but has been
U.S.-wide for the past two years, and will soon be global. It is very
significant that RSC faculty, staff, and administration have been
prepared for distance learning activities, through workshops and other
training sessions; and also very significant that all RSC executives
and academic directors, and most RSC faculty members are computer
literate, and familiar with distance learning and wide-area computer
services.
