Description: Each year, the Department of Engineering Professional Development
conducts approximately 400 continuing education short courses in
engineering and technology. Designed and directed by our staff of
experienced engineers and technical professionals, our courses help
engineers, scientists, architects, contractors, managers and other
professionals address the problems and the responsibilities that arise
in practice and keep current in their fields. As a department of a
major research and teaching university, we offer our attendees a total
educational experience that includes state-of-the-art facilities and
laboratories and a variety of learning formats. Our continuing
education courses provide a sound knowledge of fundamentals...new
information and ideas...an understanding of the latest technology and
how to apply it...practical experiences and professional contacts.
